OpenTech 2017 is an informal, low cost, one-day conference on slightly
different approaches to technology, experience and democracy. Talks by
people who work on things that matter, guarantees a day of thoughtful
talks leading to conversations with friends.
We don't have a presciptive list this year (well, yet,
anyway). We're initially looking more for talks that are in
the spirit of opentech, and outside the usual tunnel.
The main thing we're looking for are the things we don't
know to look for. What have you seen, or worked with people
who've worked on, that you think might work well within the
spirit of opentech, and outside Phil Gyford described as
"the tunnel vision of tech".
The best talks at opentech are the things who come to
us from you, the people who've been to opentech
before, although there will be a few things we've
already got lined up:
- something on Privacy (Snowden, Health, Happy 10th
birthday to ORG, etc)
- something on the election aftermath (ask us what
in mid-May)
- something on data
How do I submit an idea?
- Online form via http://www.opentech.org.uk/2017/offer
- If you have questions, email
opentech@opentech.org.uk
- Deadline for submissions is midnight on 1st April. No
joke. We'll accept talks before then.
Any other questions?
Read the Submission page or email opentech@opentech.org.uk
